Parker West was born and raised in Santa Monica, Calfornia to an entertainment lawyer and an ex-child star. His mother vowed, as she had her own children, that they would never be in the business that she was as a kid. She felt it was too harsh and that they wouldn't be allowed to be children. As such, Parker was raised surfing every morning and all of his holidays from school were spent either traveling with his family or back east where his Aunt Molly lived. He always looked forward to summers with Aunt Molly.
As a young child, Parker spent all his time following after his mother and learning to cook and bake. His father used his freetime to teach the little boy how to surf and build sand castles, but it wasn't until Parker was five and his baby sister, Linzi, was born that he truly understood what it was to have a child always around. He wasn't a fan of Linzi for the longest time, since as a baby she didn't do anything but lay there and cry. He wanted someone to play with and she wasn't willing to play. He went so far once, to ask his mom if he could return the crying girl and get a puppy. She told him no and that if he gave it some time he'd loving having the little girl there. He was skeptical, but about a year and a half later, when she started to follow him around like a duckling, he finally understood.
School was a hard time for Parker, he was always in trouble and rarely turned in his assignments. When it was brought to his parents' attention and they sat down with him, they realized it wasn't that he was stupid or anything, but he didn't have a strong grasp on an attention span. He was easily distracted, always moving around and unless he was doing three things at once, he would end up starting on a reading assignment and end up drawing the clouds as he retold a story about dragons. Eventually he was put on medication for a short period but his family's doctor felt he would do better learning how to manage his ADHD rather than be medicated for it. So the following years set forth a pattern that would allow Parker to learn how to manage his problem, rather than use it as a crutch.
It was high school where Parker learned about all the things he could do with a computer. While he never did anything specifically illegal, he was talented with the machines. His friends were always asking him to break into their parents parental controls, or to check their grades. He spent high school making side money changing grades, never taking a D student to an A student but he would alter a test input from 69 to 72, just enough to make it a passing grade but not enough for the teacher to even notice, and he never did it before the tests were handed back. He, surprisingly, was never caught. His big escape from school was the summers he spent back on the East Coast with his Aunt and his cousin. He always felt like his cousin was more of a brother than anything and it was nice since Linzi was his only other sibling. He enjoyed Christmases back east as well, as snow was such a novelty.
When it came time to attend college, Parker went to UC Irvine and majored in computer science. He wanted to do something he enjoyed and parlayed that into an internship with Google at their Irvine office. He wasn't really sure what he wanted to do with his life, but he knew computers would give him a decent shot at doing almost anything. He started to work on a Masters and moved to Boston to attend Harvard for about a semester before he decided more education wasn't for him. Instead, he got a job with the local Police department in their cyber crimes unit. He didn't think he'd like it as much as he does, but he loves hacking for his job.
He currently has two fish, his only pets, and adores them. He snickers everytime he tells someone their names.
